What is RPA?

RPA Stands for Robotics process automation. RPA enables you with tools to create your own Software robots (Bots) to automate any business process.
By the help of RPA software eliminate low return, high-risk, manual data entry and process work.

What is BOT?

  • Bots are configurable software set up to perform the tasks you assign and control. Automation of Repeatable and rule based tasks using a software which is installed on a user’s computer called Robot (Bot)
  • The Bot is programmed to perform the sequence of steps that a human user does.
  • The Bot will work exactly like a human user by interacting with the front end of the application. In other words it is not integrated.

Advantage of RPA.

  • RPA is Reliable, Efficient, maintainable, extensible.
    • Reliable:-Solid, robust workflows that can handle errors.
    • Efficient: - Sorter dev time, Smooth execution in production environment.
    • Maintainable: - Easy to update when changes are required.
    • Extensible: - New use cases can be added.
  • Use Existing IT infrastructure without making changes to the current system and data bases.
  • Robots can work 24x7 and they don’t take time off or sick days.
  • Robots can work across multiple platforms like windows, Web, java and mainframe application.
  • One Robot can be trained to be more than one process at different schedules.
  • Improve efficiency and accuracy.

Limitations of RPA.

  • The working speed (AHT) of the BOT is Limited to the speed of the application.
  • Task that require judgements and creativity cannot be automated.
  • Even minor changes to the applications will need the robots to be reconfigured.
