BLUEPRISM - Credential Management.

Credentials are a secure repository for used in Log in to target application.

Most of the application using enterprise required used to Sign IN with someone sourced of Credentials like Username and Password. So we need to store credentials somewhere.

Technically, it is possible to store the credentials in the environment variable but that it is not a recommended practice as environment variable it can be access by all the processes and resources that are connected to the same application server. Also the information store in environment variable is not encrypted this is where blue prism “Credential Management” comes into picture.

Credential Management not only encrypts the data but also gives great degree control over which process, resources and users can access the credential.
